Flowing, pulling, standing
Ink is liquid, deep, and quick: it sets a stroke that does not forgive and yet often looks alive for precisely that reason. Anyone who wants to buy paintings in ink for sale finds works between drawing and painting.
On paper or canvas, ink sinks into the fiber, forms edges, and runs out in fine gradients. Diluted it makes a delicate veil, undiluted a rich black. The two can be combined and steered with brush, pen, or sponge. That gives paintings in ink a freshness rarely found in oil.

Light and care
Many inks are light-sensitive. Paintings in ink therefore hang best on walls without direct sun and under UV glass. A frame with mat and spacing adds protection against damp and contact. Ask in the description about the paper type, since acid-free paper ages more gracefully.
