Mist, edge, drip
Spray paint lays color on the surface as a fine mist and allows gradients no brush knows. Anyone exploring spray paint paintings for sale meets pictures where speed and control are both visible.
A can produces a soft breath of color, while stencils or tape give a sharp edge. When the paint runs, drips remain, which many artists use on purpose. The technique comes from street art and has long been established on canvas.

Layers and protection
Spray paint dries quickly, so many thin layers often lie on top of each other in one picture. A final varnish keeps the surface from feeling tacky and makes it appear more even. Watch for a note in the description on whether the work was sealed.
