Reduced and exact
Modern painting gives up storytelling and relies on composition, field and attitude. Looking for modern ink paintings for sale usually means wanting a calm, clearly built picture that gets by with few means.
Ink suits modernism because it does not flatter. A black field stays a black field, a line stays a line. The picture has to carry itself through proportion and tension, not through effects.

Easy to combine
Such pieces settle into rooms with clean furniture, exposed concrete or pale wood. If you would like more color, look at acrylic on canvas, and in the mid price range there are works from 500 to 1,000 euro. Note the dimensions and frame type before you measure the wall.
Hanging with distance
Modern pictures need air. Leave more free wall around the work than seems necessary at first, and skip competing motifs right next to it. The calm surroundings make a reduced picture readable, especially in black and white.
