Line, plane, hatching
Markers deliver lines that brushes rarely manage: even, colorful, with a crisp edge. Buying marker paintings does not mean giving up depth, because color markers can be overlaid and layered. Our paintings for sale show how.
Alcohol markers flow softly into one another and give delicate gradients. Acrylic markers cover more strongly and behave almost like paint from the tube. Felt tips in many widths make contours, patterns and large color planes possible. When checking, a look at the line edges helps. Clean, evenly saturated strokes show that the marker did not run dry. On larger areas, many parallel strokes build attractive textures that can be read up close.

Color that glows
Marker tones are often highly saturated. On a bright wall they look clear and graphic. Lightfastness matters: do not hang marker pictures in direct sun, and look for UV protective glass if the piece is framed.
