Fluid, fast, final
Painting with ink ranges from the transparent wash to a deep, almost velvety black. You can find ink paintings for sale here in many styles, from the free sweep to the finely drawn line.
Unlike oil paint, ink dries within minutes and cannot be rubbed out. That forces decisions, and you can see them in the picture. Whether applied thin or saturated, the color sits in the support rather than on top of it.

Finding a style
If you want a direction, start with expressive and gestural painting or with graphic, illustrative pictures. For a first original there are works under 500 euro, and a little more size comes with pieces from 500 to 1,000 euro. Ask about lightfastness before the picture goes on the wall.
Paper, canvas or wood
Ink is used on very different supports. Paper gives it sharpness, canvas depth, wood a warm grain that shows through. The listing names the support, and that determines frame, care and hanging. Ask if a detail is missing.
