Planning before buying
Measure the space and ask for dimensions, weight and footprint. Clarify whether the piece may stand indoors or outdoors. Ask about signature, numbering and surface treatment, and with edition works about the edition size. A plinth can lift the work and protect the floor at the same time. It helps to sketch a floor plan with measurements beforehand so you see how much space the sculpture really needs. At the same time check whether plinth and floor carry the weight.
