Line, color and rhythm
Comic painting borrows from magazine pages and strips: thick outlines, flat colors, speech bubbles, motion lines and a visual language you grasp at a glance. Paintings in comic style for sale between 2,000 and 5,000 euro offer a genre that joins humor and craft.
Storytelling works through outline and field: black lines hold the figures, bright planes fill them. A painted comic look demands the precision of an illustrator and the stamina of a painter, since every line has to land. Even speech bubbles and sound words appear, only that here they are set by hand.

Technique and support
Most often the choice is acrylic on canvas, because it gives opaque, sharply bounded planes. Acrylic paint on wood or paper is common as well, especially for smaller pieces.
Good spots
Comic pictures work in kitchens, hallways and children’s rooms just as in offices with a sense of humor. They need light that does not distort color, ideally neutral white. Combining several works on one wall almost gives you a picture story.
