Drawn and painted at once
Comic painting takes over the language and tempo of the picture story: bold outlines, speech bubbles, halftone dots, colors like from print. Anyone who wants comic paintings for sale finds acrylic pictures in which humor and craft come together.
A comic painting uses the visual language of the strip but carries it out large and by hand. Outlines are black and firm, areas rich, shadows often set with dots or hatching. The brushwork stays visible, which the printed picture lacks.

Effect with acrylic
Typical is acrylic on canvas, because acrylic covers flatly and keeps edges sharp. With stencils and tape the clear lines familiar from comics arise. The result looks cheeky and yet careful.
In rooms with character
Comic pictures bring swing to hallway, kitchen or study. They tolerate strong wall colors, but also white. Ask about size, edges, varnish and the signature, which is often part of the picture idea. With pictures that include text bubbles, the wording should stay legible; ask whether lettering was protected with varnish.
