Feeling becomes color
Expressionist painting translates feeling into color and form, often exaggerated and with strong contrast. Expressionist oil paintings from 500 to 1,000 euro are for sale here, with color chords you can feel.
In Expressionism a tree need not be green and a face need not be pink. Colors and lines follow feeling: shrill yellow for unrest, deep blue for heaviness. Oil makes such tones glow and keeps the force of the application.

Room for intensity
An expressionist painting brings energy into a room. Hang it where you want impact rather than calm, such as a stairwell, a salon or an office. Quiet furniture and neutral walls give the picture the backing it needs.
Reading the context
The description should name size, support and varnish. Ask about brushwork and the build-up of layers if that interests you. Good selection comes from comparison: let several pictures work side by side before you decide.
