At home in clear rooms
A modern painting links up effortlessly with pale walls, wooden floors and plain furniture. It needs no frame that pushes into the foreground. A slim floater frame in white, black or oak is enough.
Deciding by eye and measure
Measure the wall first and leave air all around. Ask about the support, the edge finish and the hanging hardware on the back. Up to 1,000 euro mid-sized formats are typical, which can hang alone or as a pair.
