When color alone tells the story
In this band, abstract oil painting often shows a sure feeling for surface and rhythm. Here you can find abstract oil paintings from 500 to 1,000 euro for sale in which color plays the lead.

Size and distance
A picture of this kind opens up with distance. Plan a spot where you can step back a few yards, such as a living room with a long wall. Then the tension and calm of the composition are strongest.
Questions for the listing
Ask whether the picture carries several layers and how long it has dried. A question about the hanging direction is justified with abstract work. The side edges should look clean if the piece is to hang without a frame.
