Acrylic as the foundation
Mixed media means a painting made with more than one technique, here with acrylic as the main paint. If you want mixed-media paintings with acrylic for sale, you get pictures in which brush, charcoal, ink or sand work together.
Acrylic accepts almost anything: it binds sand, marble dust and pigment powder and carries drawing on top. Pencils, chalk and markers add lines on the dry layer. A picture grows from several handwritings and can be read anew each time you look closely.

Between surface and line
Because drawing and color field stand side by side, such work feels lively and calm at once. It goes well with abstract painting and with collage, and also next to plain furniture that gives the picture room.

Does the description name every material? That matters for care and hanging. Delicate drawing media on the surface do not tolerate wiping, so a varnish or a frame with some distance often protects the piece.
