A glaze that stays put
Acrylic thinned like watercolor lies on the paper as a translucent veil and then dries water resistant. If you want watercolor-style paintings with acrylic for sale, you find the lightness of watercolor with more reserve in color strength.
True watercolor stays soluble, acrylic does not. Once the glaze is dry it can be layered without the lower color running again. That gives clear, deep tones and soft transitions that recall fog or reflections on water.

Paper, mat and glass
Works on paper belong behind glass with a mat, so the surface never touches the glazing. Choose museum clear or anti-reflective glass if the room gets a lot of light. A pale frame underlines the transparency of the colors.
Fitting neighbors
Abstract color studies and gestural sketches in particular show what the technique can do. Under 500 euro such works on paper often come in smaller sizes that arrange well into a group.
