Lightfastness of the ingredients
Not every pen and not every ink is as lightfast as acrylic paint. Ask which materials were used and whether UV protection is planned. Markers especially can fade in the sun if the picture gets constant light.
Order within chaos
Graphic mixed-media pictures often look dense and lively. Hang them on a calm wall where nothing else fights for attention. A plain frame, or free hanging of the canvas, is usually enough.
