The logic of dreams
Surreal drawing makes the impossible visible: stairs without a destination, faces made of clouds, objects that suddenly lose weight. Surrealist drawings for sale come in pencil, graphite, pastel and sketch, at under 500 euro as well as at 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
The appeal lies in the mix of exactness and impossibility. With pencil or graphite things can be drawn so precisely that the absurd feels like a fact. With pastel the dream gains color and dusk.

A picture with depth
Surreal sheets give up something new at every look. Hang them where you linger, say beside a reading chair, not in a passage. A dark frame heightens the secrets, a light one makes them more approachable.
Entry and build-up
If you are new to art, sketches give picture ideas in a compact form. Larger sheets, often in the higher price tiers, unfold entire scenes. Ask about technique, paper and signature, and have detail shots shown.
