Really unreal
In the surreal drawing, graphite becomes the stage for things that do not exist. You can buy surrealist graphite drawings for sale here, also as pencil work or at the level 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
The more exact the technique, the stronger the shock: a precisely drawn shadow, a believable texture, and right in the middle something impossible. Graphite carries this tension because it is material and neutral at once. Familiar things often appear in the wrong setting, such as clocks, doors or fruit, and that very shift is enough to call the familiar into question.

Room for conversation
Surreal sheets prompt thought and therefore belong where you have time: the dining room, the reading nook, the bedside. A dark frame raises the drama, a light one makes it friendlier.
Reading the background
Many artists describe their idea in a sentence. Read it, as it often opens the picture’s second layer. And ask about paper and framing.
