Riddles in silver gray
A pencil needs only graphite and paper to assert a world that does not exist. Surreal pencil drawings for sale sit in the tier of 1,000 to 2,000 euro, where format and finish already impress.
With graphite everything hangs on accuracy: the sharpness of a shadow, the smoothness of a surface, the fineness of a texture. The strangeness of a surreal motif is thus supported by the reality of the rendering. In the end stands a riddle that seems almost provable.

A sheet to linger over
Hang such drawings at eye level, in rooms with calm light. A frame in black, walnut or white, together with an off-white mat, pulls the glance into the depth. Non-reflective glass pays off especially for large formats.
Technical pointers
Ask about paper type and lead hardness. More on the materials is under pencil and graphite. Signature, dimensions and a photo of the back help to judge whether the sheet is well preserved.
