Urban and pop translates street culture into drawing: graffiti lettering, cartoon figures, advertising aesthetics and halftone dots meet on paper. Urban pop drawings for sale start at under 500 euro, also in charcoal and vine charcoal.
Typical are thick outlines, color fields without gradients and quotations from poster, label and sticker. With charcoal the pop language gets a rough black and white look, with vine charcoal an earthy tone as well. The play with the recognizable is the appeal.

Pop on the wall
Urban sheets work in kitchens, studios and homes with a sense of humor. A single-color frame and a clear background let them work. Groups of three or four sheets in a grid create a wall with street character.
What to watch for
Marker, spray paint and acrylic pen react to light differently. Ask what was used, whether the paper is acid free and whether the piece is signed. Among sheets priced under 500 euro, studies and small formats are common.
