Stillness with tension
Metaphysical painting shows squares, arcades and objects in a stillness that is almost uncanny: long shadows, clear perspectives, no one in sight. Metaphysical paintings for sale in the 5,000 to 10,000 euro range are sought for pictures that shape a feeling of time and emptiness.
The spaces look ordered and yet threatening. Buildings cast shadows that are too long, lines run to vanishing points that arrive nowhere. The picture stays calm and leaves the viewer alone with their own questions. Whoever wants calm and still looks for tension will find compositions of great clarity here.

Techniques of clarity
Painters work in acrylic as well as mixed media, often with acrylic paint and sometimes with spray paint for flowing skies. Smooth, even planes matter, because they create calm. Such a picture suits a wall especially well when nothing stands in front of it and nothing hangs beside it.
Living with emptiness
Metaphysical pictures need wall surface and distance. Hang them in rooms that are tidy themselves. A clear frame in black, white or wood stresses the geometry. Hung in a light-filled hallway or beside a large window, it gains from the contrast between brightness and shadow.
