Built stillness
Metaphysical painting builds squares, towers, and shadows into a stage on which nothing happens and yet everything is felt. Metaphysical paintings for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro suit those who look for pictures with a calm, enigmatic tension.
The metaphysical shows places that are too clear to be real: arcades with long shadows, a tower on the horizon, a glove or a statue on the square. The perspective is not quite right, the light falls from several directions. That creates the feeling of a time that has been stopped.

Room for expanse
Metaphysical pictures work in generously furnished rooms. A free wall, a deep view from the dining table, a corridor that leads toward it: this lets the picture’s expanse come into its own. Subdued lighting underlines the shadows.
Details that matter
Smooth fields demand an evenly stretched canvas and clean edges. Ask about type of paint, varnish, and dimensions. If you are considering a large format, check wall load capacity and hanging in advance, since such pictures easily gain weight.
