Strict geometry, soft light
Empty squares, long shadows, objects as if from a dream of the city: metaphysical painting creates stillness through severity. Anyone seeking metaphysical paintings in spray paint from 5,000 to 10,000 euro for sale finds serious, clear pictures.
The metaphysical relies on architecture, perspective and shadows that do not quite add up. With spray paint the soft gradients of sky and ground appear, while masked edges form the hard building shapes. The method suits this pictorial world remarkably well.

Scale and composure
Large canvases are common in this price range. Their calm tolerates space: a room with a wood floor, little furniture and side light. A metaphysical picture works precisely because nothing beside it makes noise.
Papers for the work
Ask about signature, certificate and time of creation as well as protective varnish and frame advice. Clean edges are the main thing in this kind of picture, so the canvas should be neatly stretched and the sides well kept.
