Material with a stance
Modern painting and mixed media meet where material itself becomes a design tool. If you want modern mixed-media paintings in oil for sale, you will find works that hold paint, paper and found material in a clear pictorial order.
Nothing is merely collected here, everything is chosen: a strip of cloth, a layer of plaster, a charcoal drawing under the paint. The oil gathers it all and arranges it into zones that support each other. The result feels concentrated rather than overloaded.

Effect in the room
The surface has relief and responds to light. Side light stresses the edges, frontal light calms them. Hang the picture at eye level and the shifts of material become especially clear.
Before you buy
Have the components listed, and ask whether loose parts were secured. With raised application, a frame with space to the glass is worth considering, or none at all. Note the weight, especially with plaster.
