Layers like on a wall
Urban, pop and mixed media sit close together: poster scraps, spray paint, bits of fabric and oil end up in the same picture. If you want urban mixed-media paintings in oil for sale, you will meet surfaces full of layers and traces.
As on a house wall, layers lie on top of each other here: torn paper, lettering, paint splashes, and oil paint above. The oil acts as a clamp that binds the contrasts and adds a sheen spray cannot offer. Typical are poster remnants, spray traces, stickers, stencils and oil in neon colors.

Effect and space
Such a picture needs wall space but no restraint. It stands up to raw walls, wood and metal. In bright rooms it sets a strong counterpoint. Because each picture is made of real material, the surface is never the same. If you want more calm, choose works where only one layer is loud and the rest steps back. That gives the eye something to hold on to.
Mind the material list
Ask which substances were used, especially spray lacquer, adhesive and paper. Deep frames or shadow gaps protect raised parts.
