Slow paint, quick ingredients
Oil paint dries through over weeks and stays soft long enough to blend, bringing depth and gloss to mixed media. Mixed media with oil paint for sale is sorted here by style or price, whether abstract or modern.
Combined with collage, charcoal or wax, oil plays the part of a skin: it binds, stays supple and glows from within. Paper is usually sealed beforehand so it forms no halos. A detail you only sense in the original: oil paint has depth and a glow of its own, even beneath wax or paper. Because it dries so slowly, brush traces and transitions stay softer than with fast-drying paints.

Light and room
Oil paint reflects warm light especially well, so these works look best in daylight and dimmed evening lighting. Avoid spotlights that hit the oil harshly and exaggerate the gloss.
