Originals in this selection, Fiberglass.
Light but firm
Fiberglass is glass-fiber reinforced plastic: light, hollow and still surprisingly stable. Anyone who wants mixed media with fiberglass for sale meets forms that would be hard to hold in stone or metal.
Glass-fiber mats are soaked in resin and laid over a mold. After curing, a thin, hard shell remains. It can be sanded smooth, lacquered and painted. That makes sweeping wall objects and sculptures that hang more easily than you would expect.

A surface with gloss
The fiberglass usually carries a lacquer coat, much like car paint. It shines deeply and mirrors rooms. Mixed media adds paper, acrylic or metal parts. Scratches can usually be polished out professionally, so ask the artist for care notes.
Styles and prices
Expressive, gestural pieces look especially lively, and many works sit in the 1,000 to 2,000 euro tier. Pay attention to dimensions, depth and hanging. Direct sun can change lacquer and resin, so half shade is the better choice.
