A skin of gloss
Enamel shines in a way no oil paint can: dense, smooth and almost freshly lacquered. Here you can find paintings with enamel for sale, where drips, streaks and reflections are part of the picture language.
Enamel paint dries to a hard, closed surface. It covers strongly, can be poured in puddles or drawn in lines and forms small edges as it dries. Where other paints look matte, it mirrors its surroundings and changes as you move.

Effect in a room
Glossy pictures need attention to light. Hang them at an angle to the window so the entire surface does not flash. In hallways with dimmed light, enamel develops an almost jewel-like depth.
What to look out for
Ask about the support and edge protection. If you want enamel combined with other substances, look at mixed-media. Stylistically exciting is Impressionism with its painting of light. A practical care note: enamel tolerates dry dusting with a soft cloth, but no abrasive cleaners. Fingerprints show up faster on gloss than on matte surfaces.
