Clouds, edges, color fields
Abstract painting with spray paint turns surface into atmosphere: color floats, breaks off, dissolves. Anyone interested in abstract spray paint paintings for sale finds pictures without objects but with a strong sense of space.
Spraying creates clouds of the finest color dots, while masking creates hard cuts. The abstract style builds its surfaces from both: soft beside hard, light beside dark. Because the can leaves no brushstroke, the picture feels closed and calm.

Whether acrylic or a mix
Spray paint often appears beside acrylic or combined with mixed media. That makes picture surfaces layered, with brushstroke, collage or marker as a counterpoint to the smooth gradient. A look at the materials listed is worthwhile.
