Composition without a subject
Abstract does not mean arbitrary: good abstract pictures are composed, with pressure and counterpressure, density and emptiness. Abstract mixed media works with acrylic are for sale here in a wide spectrum, from quiet to forceful.
Where no motif dictates what is to be seen, rhythm, distribution of color and contrast take over. Acrylic allows hard edges and delicate gradients on the same sheet, while paper and chalk bring structure. The result can be read differently every day. When buying, go by your reaction: an abstract picture has to depict nothing, it has to feel right. If after a day you still think of a particular spot, that is a good sign. Format and room play along as well.

Ways through the selection
To put color in the foreground, open painting. For an entry point, the under 500 euro band is an option. Both pages show abstract work in various hands.
Try instead of explain
Picture the work in front of your chosen wall and turn it in every direction as a test. Look at the signature, the dimensions with margin and the varnish, and at how the picture is framed or hung.
