Dream logic with material
In Surrealism, things stand side by side that have nothing to do with each other in reality, yet the picture feels coherent like a dream. You can find surreal mixed media in acrylic for sale if you enjoy imagery where found objects and paper scraps sit like props.
Acrylic allows smooth, softly graded transitions that make dreamscapes believable. A glued photograph, a piece of cloth or a metal part breaks the smoothness and makes the impossible tangible. Typical are calm skies, endless horizons and shadows falling in the wrong direction. Glued-in paper or textile is then no ornament but part of the riddle that you decipher bit by bit.

Hanging and light
Surreal pictures unfold when you spend time with them. A spot in a study, at the dining table or beside the bed gives room to discover details again and again. Soft, even light shows fine gradations best.
