Stillness from layers
Metaphysical pictures show empty squares, long shadows and objects that seem left behind. You can find metaphysical mixed media in acrylic for sale here, with stillness as the most important material.
Acrylic produces even, calm color fields in which shadows look sharp yet soft. A glued-in scrap of paper, a patch of sand or a piece of cloth strengthens the sense that a place is built from memory. Typical are arcades, towers, mannequins or tools standing on deserted squares. The mixed media element, such as sand or paper, makes the ground tangible and lets the silence become almost audible.
