Color in motion
Abstract painting with acrylic and mixed technique lives on color, movement and change of material. Abstract mixed media painting with acrylic is for sale here for readers seeking paintings without a subject that still tell something.
The brush pulls planes, the palette knife scrapes them free again, and paper pieces and sand set structure. Acrylic makes these interplays possible, since each layer dries quickly and can carry the next. What emerges is painting with a history, without one being told.

In living space
Abstract paintings suit almost any style. Choose the wall according to the color: warm tones tolerate cool walls, cool pictures feel fresh on pale plaster. A frame of oak or a shadow gap lets the surface work.
Before buying
Check dimensions, depth, edge treatment and varnish. With thickly applied paint the description should include a note on drying and durability. For hanging it has proven useful to set abstract paintings a little lower than instinct suggests. That way viewers relate to the color field instead of looking up at it. A calm wall all around supports the effect.
