Color that shines through
Ink as paint makes pictures translucent, deep and luminous. Mixed-media painting with ink for sale offers paintings and painted sheets in which layers mirror one another.

Frame and protection
For painting on paper, glass with UV protection pays off; for canvas, a thin varnish that seals the ink. Ask whether the ink is lightfast, and do not hang the picture directly opposite a window. Muted light preserves the depth of color.
