Wood as support and building material
Wood brings weight, grain and warmth into a work, and mixed media turns the board into a picture or a relief. Mixed media with wood for sale is ordered here by technique, style and price, from bas-relief to abstract panel.
Sometimes wood serves as a panel to paint and glue on, sometimes it is cut, stacked or burned. The grain stays visible or gets covered. Every board has a character of its own. There are panels of oak, pine, plywood or birch that are painted, burned or cut. Because wood is a living material, every work bears the grain of its board, which cannot be repeated.
