A built picture
In larger wood works, the construction itself becomes part of the statement: joints, edges and layers all speak. You can find mixed media with wood for sale between 2,000 and 5,000 euro if you look for works with scale and craft depth.
Between these amounts, originals often come with large panels, elaborate joinery and fine surface work. Mixed media extends the wood with paint, metal, paper or plaster. Typical are solid woods, sawn or milled shapes and paint applications that use the grain. Metal, paper or plaster add contrast, so hardness and warmth coexist in the work.

Hanging and care
The larger the work, the more hanging system and wall condition matter. Have weight and mounting method stated. Wood does not tolerate wetness and strong temperature swings; dry air and even warmth are ideal.
