Originals in this selection, Material Wood, 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
Formats from 49 x 49 to 55 x 47 cm.
Substance in size
A board that has been painted, sawn or glued sits somewhere between picture and object. You can find mixed media with wood for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro if you look for originals with substance in the middle price range.
In this price band, originals often come in medium to larger formats with elaborately worked wooden supports. Stained, burned or sanded wood can itself be the picture surface. Typical are boards of birch, pine or oak that are painted, stained and overlaid with paper or metal. The grain remains as a drawing beneath the paint and gives each piece a character of its own.

Style and form
Sculptural work with layers is under bas-relief, free, strongly colored work under Abstract. Both paths lead to works built from material and not just paint.
Hanging
Wood can be heavy. Ask about weight and plan anchors or hanging rails. A hanging system with two hooks spreads the weight and keeps the work from tilting.
