Material as the statement
Modern drawing has freed itself from the duty to depict something: line, surface and rhythm are allowed to be the subject. These modern drawings for sale under 500 euro range from ink to charcoal to oil paint on paper.
A sheet in charcoal feels physical and dark, while a piece in pen and ink reads as precise and tense. Oil paint on paper adds sheen and depth to a drawing that would otherwise be dry. Modern sheets move readily between these registers.

Finding room in a modern space
Reduced rooms with light walls take drawings well. A single sheet above a bench, simply framed, is often enough to anchor a wall. If you plan a row of sheets, keep the spacing and frame color constant.
Pointers for smaller budgets
Under 500 euro, works on paper, studies and smaller formats are common among originals. Look in the description for medium, paper weight and signature, and if oil paint was used, ask how fully it has dried.
