Drawing without an object
Abstract drawings do without depiction and work with line, rhythm and area, with what drawing is at its core. Abstract drawings under 500 euro for sale appear in graphite, charcoal or pencil.
In abstract sheets the line itself becomes the subject. It circles, breaks, repeats or dissolves in hatching. Without a motif the eye falls on the material: the sheen of graphite, the depth of charcoal or the delicacy of pencil.

Small formats, plenty of space
Under 500 euro you often find formats that stand on a shelf or liven up a small wall. Abstract sheets tolerate quiet neighbors because they tell no story that ties up attention.
On buying
Since no motif supplies a sense of scale, look at the dimensions. Ask about the hanging direction: some works have a top and bottom, others can be turned. Signature and paper belong in the listing.
