Attitude instead of depiction
Modern drawing lets line, surface and emptiness stand side by side as equals, without having to explain a motif. These modern drawings for sale from 500 to 1,000 euro sit in a price tier where format and experience in the line often become clearly visible.
A modern sheet asks less what is shown than how decisively it was drawn. One strong pull beside a delicate hatch, a margin left deliberately untouched, a grid that tilts: such decisions carry the effect. Paper and material are thought through, not simply used.

Space in bright rooms
Modern drawings suit walls with plenty of air. A mid-size sheet above a sideboard or in a study gains weight there. Choose a slim wood or metal frame and keep the mat generous, so the paper surface joins the conversation.
Between study and picture
At this tier, originals run from a worked-out study sheet to an independent, larger piece. In the description, look at dimensions, paper and technique, and ask whether the signature sits on the front or the back. A photo in raking light shows the structure and condition of the surface.
