Originals in this selection, Expressionism, under 500 euro.
Angular, fast, restless
In expressionism the line bends what it sees: faces become masks, streets tilt, bodies stretch. Expressionist drawings for sale under 500 euro are for readers who prize feeling over anatomy.
Expressionist drawings live on hard angles, rough hatching and outlines gone over twice. Charcoal and vine charcoal suit this because they show pressure: where the hand presses hard, the black turns thick and dry.

How to hang them
Strong emotion needs distance. Hang such sheets one at a time with plenty of wall around them, and pick a dark frame that holds the tension. Side light brings out hatching, while flat frontal light dulls it. A low-hung spot beside a reading chair lets the tension work at close range.
Pointers for getting started
Under 500 euro, studies, portrait sketches and small formats are typical among originals. Ask about paper, fixing and signature, and remember that expressionist sheets often carry working marks on the back as well. Notes on the back, such as a date or a remark, can add context to the sheet.
