Color in layers
Forms that depict nothing yet set off a lot: abstract resin sculpture makes color, transparency and light its subject. You can browse abstract resin sculptures for sale in curves, blocks and waves, sometimes bold, sometimes quite still.
Those who work abstractly with resin often pour in stages. Each layer sets partway, takes a new color, and so depth, gradations and sometimes smoky clouding emerge. The side view often shows more than the front, because you can see the layers.

An object that gathers light
Resin throws color onto the wall when light passes through. Put the sculpture where morning or evening sun hits it. On glossy furniture it mirrors itself, on wood or stone it feels calmer. A look at statues shows the opposite pole.
When choosing
Orientation comes from the price bands 1,000 to 2,000 euro and 2,000 to 5,000 euro. Watch for clean edges, a signature and the question of whether you receive a one-off or an edition. Padding matters in transport because resin chips at corners.
