Flowing, stalling, setting
Abstract resin objects let color flow and light travel through layers. You can look for abstract resin sculptures from 1,000 to 2,000 euro for sale if you want depth, transparency and play with form.
In abstract casting the artist decides viscosity, temperature and amount of color, yet the material has a will of its own. Currents form veins, clouds and cells that never repeat. After curing, a moment stays frozen that you can look at anew each time.

On furniture, before a window
An abstract resin object glows when light passes through it. Place it before a window with screening or in front of a lamp, not in harsh light. Dark surfaces underneath show reflections, pale ones make the colors appear lighter.
Questions that help
Check weight and footprint, the signature and whether it is a one-off. Cast work should be bubble-free or deliberately made with bubbles. A note on the hardness of the resin reveals how scratch-prone the surface is.
