Flowing form in metal
Abstract bronze joins the tradition of casting with a form that no longer depicts an object. Abstract bronze sculptures for sale deserve a look at patina, casting edge and surface.
Bronze can do anything: it flows into curves, holds fine slits and stays stable even at thin walls. Abstract shapes use this, with swings, hollows and filigree connections that would hardly be possible in stone. In the cast a skin appears that feels soft and metallic at once.

Color of the metal
Depending on the patina, bronze glows golden brown, black brown or greenish. If it is polished at the edges, a subtle contrast appears. Beside other metal you see the difference: bronze looks warmer, calmer and less cold.
Genuine and numbered
Ask about the edition, the number and the foundry’s mark. A signature usually sits on the underside or the foot, and a certificate should come with it. Care for the surface with a thin film of wax and soft cloths.
