Dense blacks, raw edges
Expressionist photography is loud without showing noise: warped perspectives, black against white, a sky like a wound. You can find expressionist ink photographs for sale if a picture should show feeling rather than a depiction.
The appeal lies in the unsmoothed. Ink reaches very dark tones and can leave grain or smear marks standing without them looking like a mistake. On rough paper the picture becomes almost tactile.

A picture for a room with air
Expressive sheets need distance from other pictures. Hang one alone above a sofa or in a hallway with some width. Light plaster or a large window opposite gives the black its tension.
Questions before buying
Ask about the ink type, since it determines the depth of the blacks. A look at color work or at the 500 to 1,000 euro tier shows how wide the expressive range is. Edition and signature belong in the description. Good descriptions reveal whether the grain is intended or comes from the printing. A mat in charcoal instead of white can raise the drama further, if that is what you want. Think through the framing already while choosing.
