Silence in color
Metaphysical painting shows silent squares, long shadows and objects that stand like signs in space. If you want metaphysical oil paintings for sale, you will find deserted, clear picture worlds, for example on canvas.
Typical are wide fields, deep cast shadows and architecture that does without people. Time seems to have stopped. Oil helps because it covers large areas evenly and allows fine transitions in sky and ground. Sometimes a single object is enough to carry the whole scene.

Effect in the room
These pictures calm and unsettle at once. They suit plain, tidy rooms with few things in them. A reduced frame or frameless hanging keeps the tension. Do not hang them too close to furniture, since emptiness is part of the effect.
Notes on choosing
Especially with large, quiet fields, the care of the paint application counts: streaks and flaws show at once. Ask for detail photos of sky passages and about the type of varnish.
