Color as emotion
In expressionism the color is the statement: a red sky does not need to be accurate, it needs to land. Anyone looking for expressionist acrylic paintings between 2,000 and 5,000 euro for sale is giving one strong feeling an entire wall.
Distorted figures, hard complementary contrasts and heavy contours shape this movement. Acrylic suits it: it can be laid on thickly, holds the mark of the brush and dries fast enough that the momentum of the moment survives. The very traces of the brush, bristle or knife carry the expression and should be clearly readable in close-up photos.

Weight in the room
Expressionist pictures dominate even when they are not huge. Plan a calm surrounding for them, because otherwise furniture and painting compete. Soft raking light lifts the brush structure and makes the color look sculpted.
Placing the price band
If you set aside 2,000 to 5,000 euro for an original, paintings in this range are often large formats by established voices. Ask for dimensions that include depth, since heavy impasto can make a stretcher look noticeably thicker.
