Originals in this selection, Surrealism, over 10,000 euro.
Dream logic, clean craft
Surrealist painting shows things rendered calmly and precisely that still do not belong in our world. Anyone looking at surrealism paintings over 10,000 euro for sale will usually meet fully developed major works with a long production time.
The strangeness in surrealism rarely comes from energy but from precision: soft transitions, believable shadows, objects in places they do not belong. Many painters work in oil for this, because the paint stays workable for days, allows fine glazes and melts skin tones into fog-like softness.

What this price level suggests
Originals in this class often come in large formats, with months of work and a settled visual language behind them. The composition is usually considered: a clear horizon, one object in the foreground, a second motif that unsettles the eye. A painting like this needs wall space and distance so its details stay readable.
Before you decide
Ask for detail photos of the paint surface and for information on varnish, stretcher and framing. With oil paint it also helps to ask how long the painting has dried before it is wrapped and shipped.
