Monumental surfaces
Abstract painting above 10,000 euro often shows the full command of a handwriting: color fields the size of a wall, lines that carry a whole picture, and a composition that holds up without a motif. Abstract paintings for sale above 10,000 euro can promise monumental presence.
At large formats a feeling of landscape or architecture arises, even without an object. Color becomes space, line becomes movement. Up close, brush structure and layers emerge; from afar, the overall impression carries. The eye gets room to wander without snagging on an object.

Materials of abstraction
Painters work on canvas in acrylic on canvas or acrylic on other supports, but also in oil and mixed techniques. The choice determines gloss, depth and durability of the surface. Large format also means weight, so ask for a technical drawing of the stretcher or support.
Hanging professionally
Large abstract pictures need a load-bearing wall, ideally with a rail system. Discuss transport, insurance and lighting in advance. Certificate, signature and condition report should be complete. A lighting plan with spotlights free of UV spares the paint and brings out the structure.
