Originals in this selection, Impressionism, over 10,000 euro.
Big light, small strokes
Impressionist painting above 10,000 euro unfolds, at large scale, an atmosphere that draws in the viewer’s own space and light: water, sky, garden, all within a visible fabric of strokes. Impressionist paintings for sale above 10,000 euro call for attention to color chord and format effect.
On a very large canvas, impressionist pictures need thousands of strokes that together make a whole. Looking closely, you see single brush marks and dabs of color; stepping back, you experience landscape and mood. Because the eye takes over the work of mixing, such pictures feel alive and never finished in a rigid sense.

Technique and tradition
The classical technique is oil on canvas, because oil paint stays wonderfully blendable. Oil paint on other supports occurs as well. The interplay of pigment quality and application shows in the luminosity. Even very good light changes the character, so it pays to see the picture in the morning and in the evening.
Clarify before buying
Ask about documentation, condition and frame. For works of this size, art shipper, insurance and professional hanging belong to the plan. A slim profile frame supports the lightness of the painting.
