Transformation in water
Surreal watercolor shows dream images in transparent colors in which things dissolve or transform. If you want surrealist watercolor paintings for sale, you will find sheets in the watercolor technique, for example in the price tiers under 500 euro and 500 to 1,000 euro.
Watercolor suits the surreal because water-based paint itself has something transforming about it: a blot becomes a mountain, a trace a river. Fine lines in ink or colored pencil add details that give the dream its sharpness. Humor is welcome in surrealism too, for example when everyday objects swap their size.

Before buying
Because fine glazes are light-sensitive, they hang best behind UV-protective glass. Ask about paper type and whether extra materials such as colored pencil were used.
