Delicate dream worlds
Surreal watercolor turns dreams into delicate pictures in which things float and spaces melt into one another. If you want surrealist watercolors under 500 euro for sale, you will find small sheets full of riddles.
Watercolor lets figures and objects stand in mist without edges turning hard. That suits dream pictures: a shadow dissolves, a horizon tips. Fine lines in ink or colored pencil add detail. Popular are figures among clouds, animals with foreign shadows or doors leading to nothing.

Where it works
Small surreal sheets do well in reading nooks, in the hallway or beside the bed. They reward lingering without drawing attention. A plain wooden frame is enough, a mat sets the motifs off. A series of two or three thematically linked sheets works well.
Paper and care
Watercolor paper should be acid-free and sturdy so the sheet does not buckle. Ask about framing and UV glass. Avoid moisture in bathroom and kitchen. Detail photos help to check the fine lines.
